Science and Medicine Group is seeking a Vice President of Market Research and Analytics. This is an opportunity for a growth-focused professional to lead a dynamic team of scientists, market researchers, and analysts who provide insights to major suppliers in the life science, diagnostic and medical imaging industries.

The Vice President of Research and Analytics must be a strong leader and communicator who is able to oversee the simultaneous development of multiple primary source custom market research projects for our clients.


Job Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Provide senior oversight and mentoring to a growing team of PhD-level scientists, analytics professionals, and qualitative researchers.
  • Develop strong internal partnership while overseeing the end-to-end design and execution of research and analytics projects (primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative).

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple project teams, overseeing collection and analysis of relevant data, research reports, presentations to clients and ensuring established processes are followed to deliver results that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure the deployment of a wide range of research models (e.g., sector analysis, customer values, perceptual and customer journey mapping, market segmentation, market mix modeling, etc.)

Customer Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong, value-driven relationships with clients.
  • Assimilate large amounts of data, interrogate the data to answer our client’s most pressing questions, and deliver meaningful insights that demonstrate how results address their business objectives.


Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, data management, statistics, sociology, psychology, or related major
  • At least 10 years of supplier-side survey research, in-depth interviews and focus groups. Life science and/or healthcare research a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of multi-modal research approaches, leveraging novel data sets and advanced methodologies to deliver meaningful and actionable recommendations.
  • Hands on experience overseeing project planning, fieldwork, analysis and reporting including extensive experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience with a survey platform (e.g., FocusVision/Decipher), statistical software (SPSS), analytics platform (Tableau) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated success in helping clients take strategic actions based on analytics and data.
  • Innovative thinker who consistently looks for opportunities to improve current capabilities and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
