The Sales Director position is responsible for the sale of Custom Market Research products as well as additional offerings including Reports, Publications, Subscriptions, and Data Products.

The successful candidate with be self-motivated and enthusiastic to describe our custom insights solutions, reports, and data solutions to manufacturers to assist them in obtaining a better understanding of the marketplace and their scientific and clinical customers. Consultative selling skills are critical to being successful in this role, as you will recommend key solutions from our broad product portfolio to best match customers’ business needs and budgets.

 

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Engage on the phone, online, and in person with Clinical Diagnostic and Life Science companies.
  • Be an enthusiastic partner to help our customers achieve their business goals
  • Understand business challenges faced by Clinical Diagnostic and Life Science companies
  • Understand and match our insights, market research, reports, and data solutions to solve business challenges
  • Bring together our in-house team of insights professionals, scientists, and business experts to solve business challenges
  • Maintain and grow long-term client relationships

 

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience in a relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience using data, reports, and insight solutions
  • 3-5 years’ experience with companies in the life science, diagnostics, laboratory instrumentation, or laboratory reagents space.
  • Experience with prospecting to find the right decision maker
  • Experience using CRM such as Salesforce
  • Experience providing presentations and solutions to C-Suite Executives
  • Experience maintaining long term relationships with clients and generating new business with both existing and new accounts
  • Aptitude for critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A Life Science or Clinical Diagnostics background is preferred
  • Position requires 10-15% travel
