Position Summary:

As our Research Campaign Coordinator, you will be the key interface and a key to members of one of the world’s largest online professional networks for life scientists — The Science Advisory Board (

The position combines campaign planning, email marketing, and membership management. The Research Campaign Coordinator will manage email campaigns to encourage responses from our global panel of scientific experts. This includes planning campaign strategy, querying our database, implements fielding according to plan, monitors performance, and adjusts strategy to assure quotas will be met. External outreach to scientists may include online advertising initiatives and social media outreach.



  • Manage email list creation and develop member segmentation and targeting strategies to increase engagement and retention.
  • Schedule and deploy emails through our e-mail platform
  • Report on the success of campaigns and strategies to the internal team
  • Recommend opportunities to optimize email creative and campaigns based on results of executed emails (e.g., open rates, click-thru rates) and email marketing best practices
  • Ensure all email communications meet brand and messaging standards.
  • Conduct database and email list maintenance
  • Manage member incentive fulfillment
  • Staff The Science Advisory Board exhibit booth at scientific conferences.




  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in scientific discipline).



  • 1-3 years experience with creating and launching email campaigns using marketing automation platforms like Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, etc.
  • Proficiency in HTML,
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing many large-scale email campaigns at once
  • Familiarity with (or similar platforms) and A/B testing



  • Demonstrated knowledge of e-mail marketing trends and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to multi-task between concurrent assignments, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles; works well under pressure
  • Ability to create concise and diplomatic external communications and to effectively resolve customer service issues (generally via email)
  • A high degree of initiative, energy, and ability to work independently
  • Experience in working with databases (e.g., familiarity with SQL) is a major plus
